Koffler Centre of the Arts


I participated in two pottery workshops with some friends at the Koffler Centre of the Arts and they were a blast! We spent one afternoon learning different techniques and creating all of our pieces which were left with the centre for an overnight bake. Then we returned for a second workshop to sponge-paint our pottery with glaze. The colours of the glaze were all pastel-toned prior to the second firing but they drastically transformed into vibrant colours after going into the oven. This made it more or less a surprise when we saw the final products! I think everyone was more than happy with their pieces.


You can see in the top right photo what the pottery looked like prior to the initial bake. The photo below shows the final collection of all our pottery pieces combined. I especially like the mugs that my cousin and friend made.
